What is the ethnic composition of Sri Lanka?

Answer
Sri Lanka has a diverse ethnic composition. The major ethnic group is the Sinhalese, who form about 74% of the population. The Tamils are the second largest group, divided into Sri Lankan Tamils (about 13%) and Indian Tamils (about 5%). Besides these, there are Muslims and Christians, who form smaller communities.
श्रीलंका की जातीय संरचना विविधतापूर्ण है। यहाँ की सबसे बड़ी जातीय समूह सिंहली हैं, जो कुल जनसंख्या का लगभग 74% हैं। तमिल दूसरा बड़ा समूह है, जिसमें श्रीलंकाई तमिल (लगभग 13%) और भारतीय तमिल (लगभग 5%) शामिल हैं। इसके अतिरिक्त मुस्लिम और ईसाई अल्पसंख्यक समुदाय भी रहते हैं।
