The poet humorously suggests that if a wild beast kills you instantly, it is probably an Asian lion. If it hugs you tightly and you die, it’s a bear. A tiger will eat you immediately if you spot one. Through these exaggerated and deadly hints, the poet creates a comic tone. The poem also includes wordplay and rhyming lines, making the description of dangerous animals light and enjoyable.
